Register Any Time, but Early is Best
Class sizes are limited and may fill quickly, but you are welcome to join our classes at any time. Registering early does help ensure that we have your child's materials for you at your first class. If you enroll after the session begins, we will pro-rate tuition.
Satisfaction Guaranteed
If you aren't completely happy with your Kindermusik experience after attending at least five classes, we'll refund or credit all of your tuition except for the cost of Home Materials which are yours to keep and enjoy.
Refunds
Tuition fees are fully refunded if we are notified prior to the start of the semester. Once the semester has started, tuition is generally non-refundable. However, pro-rated tuition refunds (minus cost of Home Materials) may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class. All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis.
Family Celebration
Dates to be announced. These are great opportunities for other family members or special people and friends to come join the class who may not otherwise get to come. I like to call these nights our "Celebration" for the fun semester we have been having!
Parent and Sibling Participation
The nature of the Village and Our Time class requires full parent engagement with his or her child. Consequently, on a regular basis, we can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is young enough to stay contented in a car carrier or stroller. Of course, emergencies situations necessitate this policy be flexible.
Imagine That! and Young Child classes are designed for the children to participate in the first 30 minutes without parents and for parents to come in for the last 15 minutes. This last 15 minutes is designed for parents and siblings to join in with the activities and “see what we did today.” Parents can sit in the adjoining room during the first part of the class. It is important that parents remain nearby in case a need arises, such as a child needing to use the restroom. Of course, parents are welcome to stay in if a child is having a difficult time with separation, or if he or she needs a couple classes to adjust.
Family Time is designed to for the whole family to experience music together. Due to the nature of the class, it is important that parents stay fully engaged with their children, helping to ensure enjoyment and safety of all participants, infants to adults.
Making the Most of the Kindermusik Experience
Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early for class. Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle in to the musical environment as they prepare to enjoy exploring instruments, pretending with puppets or listening to music.
During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. Participating together maximizes the benefits of each activity, creates bonds, and it is tons of fun! It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be discouraged—what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather that in a certain level of participation in class. If your child cannot focus on the present activity—don’t worry, but do actively attempt to help them refocus or quietly help them to participate in their own way.
You and your child will enormously benefit from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At-Home materials. Reinforcement and enjoyment of the Kindermusik materials at home during the week make all the difference in a child’s comfort and security in the classroom.
The Kindermusik class by nature is very active and full of movement, such as running and jumping. Our class structure and rules are in place to make the classroom a safe place. However, once in a while there may be some bumps or a fall. By participating in Kindermusik, the parent and child assume reasonable risk associated with physical movement such as this.
I love for parents to visit together before or after class. During classtime, enjoy this wonderful learning time with your child. When you are an active, focused, enthusiastic participant in the class activities, your child will model your actions and focus fully, too.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
I look forward to having you and your child join us!
